La pregunta se vuelve afirmación

En la pregunta indirecta el orden interrogativo desaparece: después de la fórmula de cortesía, la frase se ordena como una afirmación.
“Where is the station? → Could you tell me where the station is?”
Se quita el auxiliar do / does / did.

Los cinco cambios

Orden — sujeto antes del verbo

Sin do/does/did — desaparece el auxiliar

Tiempo verbal — no cambia

Direct question
Where is the museum?
Rápida y clara. Entre conocidos está perfecta.
Indirect question
Could you tell me where the museum is?
Más larga y más cortés. Es la que se espera con desconocidos.
Cuanto más larga la fórmula, más cortés suena la pregunta.
